What have I become? A vegan carnivore?

so now i've incorporated vegan into my life. the consequences of that are: i eat more veggies, organic of course, nuts and fruits. BV (before vegan) i ate more meats, starchs and sweets. now, i grew up in argentina, land of the steak....so my evil plan is to incorporate some meats into my diet and keeping the vegan thang going.
one thing that really bothered me is that i was unable to lose weight with vegan....i think i know why....i have a sweet tooth so i ate one vegan dessert a day...yes, they're good for you but guess what? they have beaucoup calories! so i go cool it with the desserts. bummer! ;(

  1. I think the biggest misconception about going vegan is that people will lose weight. It's still about calories and a vegan diet does not eliminate high calorie foods, carbs, fats, etc. In fact people tend to eat more of these foods to compensate for the meat they are not eating.

  2. that's so true! i think now that i'm aware of that, i'm gonna eat more veggies instead of more desserts.
